Paymium is a French-based cryptocurrency exchange that offers Bitcoin-EUR trading. It was founded in 2011. Its services are accessible globally to both individuals and institutions. Although it is a major bitcoin exchange in the European market, it is not regulated. It is registered as a money transfer service in France.

Platform

Paymium is available as a mobile app for both Android and iOS devices. The mobile app allows for instant trading by enabling users to place orders and make deposits remotely. The app’s user interface has excellent graphics and is easy to navigate.

Payment methods, transaction costs and currencies

Paymium offers only two payment options- credit cards and bank transfers. Deposits Bank transfers are free of charge, and a flat fee 0.99 Euros is charged on bank transfer withdrawals. Only two currencies are used for trading on the platform: bitcoin and EUR.
Outgoing bitcoin transfers are free of charge. Unlike most exchanges, Paymium offers an option to integrate bitcoin payment services for merchants.

Security

Majority of customer funds are stored in cold storage. While the platform is not regulated, it complies with European Regulation trading rules. Paymium offers a limited unverified account to allow traders to transact up to 2,500 Euros without being verified. These amounts can be used to fund a transaction as well as place bitcoin bids. Thorough verification is carried out for high volume transactions, which requires traders to provide personal details such as their photo, passport and bank details.
